Robin Russell

Robin Russell’s long battle with COVID-19 started at the acute care hospital. He then moved to Vibra Hospital of Denver and finally made it to Vibra Rehabilitation Hospital of Denver for inpatient rehabilitation. While he was fighting worsening symptoms, Robin also faced challenges outside his recovery. As he was in the hospital battling COVID-19, Robin lost his home and nearly all his belongings in the Boulder County Fires.

Despite the multiple hardships he faced, Robin came to Vibra motivated and ready to work. He always had a smile on his face and was constantly cracking jokes. The level of oxygen he required started to decrease, and his mobility quickly improved. The staff sympathized with his situation and were so impressed with his dedication.

On his discharge day, the staff cheered Robin on while he made his way to the exit. They also came together and surprised him with a gift basket on his way out. The basket included items to help Robin and his family get back on their feet.
